*BAND BASH* at the Beauty Bar was a wild success! The bands were amazing, the DJ's rocked it, and the crowd was awesome! Thanks so much to everyone that came out.
Voxhaul Broadcast brought a ton of energy. They opened up the night by whipping up an early frenzy.
Eastern Conference Champions played an unreal set, winning over the crowd immediately and building up to their grand finale where the whole band harmoniously smashes on the drum kit in perfect unison.
To top it all off the ever-flavorful Narcisse brought their jet-setting DJ style to amp up the dance floor. Clad in their signature tank tope, Travis with a dream catcher attached to his belt, everyone knew from the start it was going to be memorable.
While we all know that "whatever transpires within this municipality, REMAINS within this municipality" we still have some images to show you.
When we first heard Tamar Kaprelian's new single "Sinner Or A Saint" we were instantly hooked! Tamar is an amazing performer about to blast off into stardom and we love her. So, we got in touch with her and our friends at Scoop to see if we could throw a little concert (We're getting good at this.) Scoop is one of our favorite stores, and they always do cool stuff with their West Village space. Scoop said "Sure!" and so did Tamar, so we have the good fortune to present a very special in store performance. Tamar will sing songs from her upcoming album in an intimate acoustic setting and will be hanging out all evening. Come by on Thursday, August 26th from 6-8pm at the Street Scoop, 861 Washington St, NYC, for an amazing night of Tamar's music and Scoop's wonderful setting.
On WEDNESDAY AUG. 18th from 10pm-3am at BEAUTY BAR in downtown Las Vegas, the first ever MATT BERNSON BAND BASH will take place!
Coinciding with the fashion industry's most important string of tradeshows, BAND BASH will be an unforgettable night of musical performance, fanciful indulgence, and true merriment.
Headlining the event are EASTERN CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS. Die-hard Philadelphia rockers (by way of LA), ECC has garnered vast attention in the past few months after their placement on the Twilight "Eclipse" soundtrack. Their incredibly high energy show, matched with recent appearances on "Gossip Girl", "Friday Night Lights", and "Last Call With Carson Daly", have made them one of the most sought-after musical acts in the country. With the upcoming release of their new album "SPEAK-AHH", the Eastern Conference Champions are poised to become one of the truly prominent and critically acclaimed rock outfits on the American music scene today.
Handling the latter portion of the night will be NARCISSE, the newly formed electronic duo comprised of Le Chev (Michael Laine Cheever) and TRAV (Travis Wheeler). These two childhood friends (who've recently played with Fischerspooner and will soon be releasing remixes for Delorean and Avan Lava) began working together and creating music in 2010 with a heavy influence of Disco and Berlin Club. Stealing techniques and sounds spanning multiple genres, and using House production tricks at slower tempos, the two have coined their own genre of "Swagga House", a sound that reflects an American hip-hop influenced youth. Gaining notoriety for the incendiary parties they've thrown across the country, Narcisse comes to BAND BASH with ambitions of total dance anarchy.
Rounding out the bill will be VOXHAUL BROADCAST, the California-based rock group recently described as one of "LA’s Best New Indie Bands" by ultimate taste maker Nic Harcourt. With steady radio airplay in THE US & UK, and in anticipation of their upcoming album “Timing is Everything” produced by Grammy winner Tom Biller (Silversun Pickups, Liars), Voxhaul Broadcast has been making serious waves and creating a true buzz in the industry. Their electric live set, described as a cross between The Doors and Nirvana, will be the perfect way to start the party.
The setting of the evening is a star in itself. Nestled in the heart of Old Vegas, the downtown staple known as BEAUTY BAR is one of the hippest and most unique venues in town. Host to amazing bands from across the country in their outdoor, post-apocalyptic concrete courtyard, Beauty Bar is, quite simply, one of the coolest places around. Inspired by the late fifties interior from the Capri Salon in Trenton, NJ, Beauty Bar serves as a refuge from the casino culture for locals and visitors alike.
So join us on August 18th as we throw the ultimate outdoor house party for the truly discerning. For everyone that has supported us, and to all who have grown to love our brand, this is our way of saying thank you. With some of the best acts around from across the country, BAND BASH is poised to be a night to remember, and certainly one not to be missed.

The winner and 2 runners-up receive a free pair of MB sandals from Moxsie.com. The above image is the winner's board. The 2 runners up are below. Congratulations to the winners! Great work. Thank you to everyone that submitted an entry. It was amazing the high level of creativity and wit that went into many of the submissions. It was great to see how many people took the brand message, identity, and really went with it. You could see a lot of personality and inspiration behind so many of the entries. It was a thrill to go through them all to see what people came up with.
Anthropologie always puts out a stunning catalog. We are very happy that they used the KM Waif in neon yellow patent/tan for a few of their shoots. There is a very airy blown out look to all of the photos that makes for a great summer day dream feel. Anthropologie calls our sandal the "Shore Lights", so click on over there and grab a pair if you want to be a part of this glorious walking dream-come-true:

I have to say, it was a thrill to walk into Henri Bendel and see our bracelets at the Bracelet Bar on the ground floor. The concept for the space is great... like a self serve ice cream topping station at a fancy wedding. There's a huge assortment of different types of bracelets from leather to plastic, to metal, with beads, gems, studs, charms, and rivets. To be in such a great store with a new product line is truly exciting. The cuffs are in great company, in the mix of a lot of top brands. If you find yourself uptown, I recommend popping in to check out the whole scene. - Matt
We just finished with a great Coterie show at the Javits Center in NYC. We got to show our Spring 2010 collection for the first time in NY, and it was great. It was a busy show and we saw all of our best accounts and all of our friends in the industry. There was great buzz at the show. As summer '09 comes to an end, it is great to look forward to the coming of spring in 6 months, although we are well aware we have a serious New York winter to get through. All of our top accounts will be continuing to grow with us, and we have many exciting new accounts that we will update you about in the coming months. 2010 is looking to be a very exciting year for Matt Bernson Design, LLC. Here are a few photos of our booth at the show. Our theme was "psychedelic picnic", as if you need to be told, as it is pretty obvious.
