Even though she has been photographed wearing them, we named it long before that, after the rugged Dakotas where you might find some chic wanderer traversing the wind-whipped plains in a bygone era. With a cracked suede upper, you get the beautiful texture on the outside of naturally tanned hide with the softest shearling shaft on the inside. Oh, I see you noticed the cream lug sole. Yup we did it, and you are unlikely to see anything like it anywhere else. It speaks to winter and bad weather with a gentle nod that says, "Sure, bring on the sleet, snow, puddles, and ice. I will gracefully glide through it all to my ever important destination." **Note: we find it looks really cool to zip this boot up halfway and let the front flop over, showing the gorgeous shearling lining.
