People always ask, "What inspired you when you designed this?" Well, I am glad you asked. The inspiration for the Hydra came from our most popular Spring '11 item, a raffia low wedge sandal. It was decided that this needed to be made into a style you can wear for Fall. So here it is. You slip it on, there is a v-cut down the middle that is quite flattering to the ankle/makes your leg look skinny. You get the lift and comfort of a low wedge with the luxe detailing of a leather or suede upper with overlasted pony hair. These kinds of ideas only come from pure moments of panicked inventiveness.
